Stretching muscles will help you remain mobile late into your life

In the beginning, before the stretch it is normal, we have this very tight back, but after five minutes it becomes more flexible.

We are going to move up to the knees, then we are going to go further down the front of the leg. We are going to make a little bend at the hip. If you can do a little twist from your hips, you will come right up to the knee, so you want to keep it moving towards it. Just don't go too fast. And of course, when the knees are on the ground, we now are going to do a knee extension so that we can keep our balance.

Then we are going to move down to the seat of the chair where we have to reach the ankles and sit up again. We can't just rest there, you have to reach your arms up and support your body. And that is the last part of the warm-up: You have to do it with your arms because the muscles have got used to each other, but they cannot relax anymore. And that makes it possible, that even after a year of sitting at a desk, or after a year of climbing the steps of the lift, you will still be able to do all the exercises that we would have done first. We are going to start with the legs. We need a good warm-up like, jumping rope, because just a few minutes in the warm-up can help you to go on and you will be able to do these exercises in a much better way.
